Toe Amputation Surgery Wound
My brother just had surgery a few weeks ago...?
He had an infected toe (very bad, almost lost life/amputation), and the surgeons removed the infection, but left a very "open" wound (about a 2 cm "hole")
... And now he is throwing up and has a fever. Very flu-like symptoms. There is no noticible change in the area where he had surgery, but to be on the safe side, do you think it's an infection?
If he has a fever, he has an infection somewhere. You should call the doctor and try to get your brother in as soon as possible.
I know there is a stomach illness going around. It seems to last about 3 days and is accompanied by a fever. However, given your brother's recent surgery, I'd strongly suggest you call his doctor or even take him to the ER.
