Clean room suspended ceilings are ceilings that can be used in your clean rooms for various purposes. Whether you need them for their hygene, fire-protective properties, sound absorption or just because they look good, clean room suspended ceilings are often an interesting option while restoring your house.

It can look like a big job to install your own clean room suspended ceilings. Especially in a large room, you might look at a task of over 15 hours depending on your situation. Many of the tools needed for either suspended or tile ceilings are the same, including metal tape, putty knife, straightedge, nails, a handsaw, a ladder, safety goggles and face mask, chalkline, a drywall pan, a screwdriver, tiles, ganer wire, cross tees and a coping saw and many other tools.

There are many advantages to installing clean room suspended ceilings. They muffle sounds, cover up wires and cables, support lighting systems and often have fireproof characteristics. Noisy rooms can easily be muffled by using acoustic ceilings. Ceilings made of mineral fiber on the other hand are a good option for rooms with a possible fire hazard. But for most other purposes, a classic light-weight clean room suspended ceiling is the best option.

Regulations on clean room suspended ceilings can differ depending on where you live, so always be on the lookout for any legal surprises. However, you normally don't need a permit for your clean room suspended ceilings. Still, it is better to be safe than sorry.
