is there a system in place that allows call forwarding to be answered by multiple lines?
To clarify this question a little more: Currently the call forwarding system allows you to forward calls to any given number and answer them as if you were at the location of the number in question. Is there a system in place that allows that number to be answered by more than one receiving number?
you would need a "follow me" type of service... google voice is just one provider that offers something similar to this... ring central is another provider of such services... you may not have too much luck getting a service like this from your current land line provider, but if you have a VoIP provider chances are that they should be able to set you up with these features
